Ability not Disability 2016What they wanted

Blue Teapot is a multi-award winning theatre company, performing arts school and outreach programme in Galway that works with people with intellectual disabilities. They wanted to better understand the experience of their participants and the social value their programme had for arts and disability in Ireland.

What we did

Quality Matters employed a social return on investment (SROI) approach that engaged 289 people through focus groups, interviews and surveys. This approach help develop a better understanding of the experiences of participants, families and many other stakeholder groups. Our evaluation found that for every €1 invested into Blue Teapot there is a return to individuals and services of approximately €4.

What they said

Caroline and the Quality Matters team were great to work with, they gave generously of their time and were brilliant facilitators. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The process of working with Quality Matters on an SROI was both thorough and illuminating we continuously use the information to shape the growth of the company. The SROI has increased grant funding directly by rigorously quantifying the value of what we do.
